The GFA says it has established a direct process to help Ghanaian fans acquire FIFA‑sanctioned tickets for group and potential knockout stage fixtures. In a statement published on its official website, the GFA confirmed that fans wishing to access tickets for Ghana’s 2026 World Cup games should contact the association directly to request an Access Code.

It’s a unique identifier issued by FIFA that enables entry into the official ticket draw on the FIFA ticketing platform. To facilitate this process, the GFA says fans should send their requests to tickets@ghanafa.org, the dedicated email address for ticket correspondence.

The Access Code will then allow supporters to enter the FIFA ticket application system and select preferred matches and ticket categories for Ghana’s group stage fixtures:  Ghana vs Panama, England vs Ghana and Croatia vs Ghana, and, conditionally, any knockout tie should the Black Stars advance.

Limited Availability and FIFA Regulations
The GFA cautioned that ticket availability is expected to be limited and strongly encouraged fans to apply early due to high demand. FIFA distributes tickets to participating national federations, and the number of seats available via each federation’s allocation can be small compared with overall global demand.

Fans who receive an Access Code can use it on FIFA.com/tickets to enter the ticket draw once the application window opens.Importantly, the GFA stressed that this allocation does not include the FIFA “Supporter Entry Tier” tickets, which are priced at USD 60 and designed to make attending matches more affordable for travelling fans. These Supporter Entry Tier tickets are managed separately through FIFA’s broader ticketing phases and eligibility criteria set by FIFA itself.

Application Timeline and FIFA Process
According to the GFA, FIFA PMA access codes are expected to be distributed to eligible applicants starting in early January 2026, with the application period remaining open until January 22, 2026. Once the Access Code is issued, fans can enter the FIFA ticket draw and choose which matches they want to vie for.

Applicants are allowed to modify or withdraw their entries before January 13, 2026, after which changes cannot be made. Successful applicants will be notified via email in February 2026. Winners will go through the purchase process and receive their tickets and seating information ahead of the tournament, with FIFA indicating delivery in the second quarter of 2026.

Multiple Phases, Multiple Opportunities
FIFA’s global ticketing process for the 2026 World Cup has already seen strong interest from fans worldwide. The ticket sales have entered a Random Selection Draw phase, open until January 13, 2026, which allows supporters to apply directly on FIFA.com/tickets for specific matches based on the confirmed schedule.

Nearly two million tickets have been purchased across earlier phases, including the Visa Presale Draw and the Early Ticket DrawUnder the Access Code system, supporters affiliated with the GFA can participate in the ticket draw with an official link to the Black Stars, but they must follow the deadlines and FIFA’s published rules. FIFA’s official ticketing guidelines also outline how Access Codes are used within the ticketing portal and the steps fans must take to apply once they receive their codes.

With strong global interest in the expanded 48‑team tournament and high demand for tickets, supporters are encouraged to act early and ensure they are registered ahead of the closing application deadlines
