I'll make Accra the cleanest city by the end of my term - Prez
Akufo-Addo's State of the Nation Address
As one of his pledges during the campaigning prior to the 2016 general elections, <a id="208c4f8c-47dc-49d4-ac47-803322e80b98" href="https://www.pulse.com.gh/news/local/62nd-independence-day-celebration-to-be-held-in-tamale-nana-addo/jr73p3s">President Nana Akufo-Addo</a> has reiterated his stance to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa before he exits as president.

He said he will make sure Accra is heralded as the cleanest city anywhere in Africa.

While addressing parliamentarians in his annual State of the Nation address in Accra, the President said he has his eyes firmly on that pledge.
"I will make Accra the cleanest city in Africa by the end of my term", he said.
The President also said extensive discussions are being concluded on ways to relieve Ghana of the plastic menace.
