Legendary singer checks into rehab for substance abuse

Liza Minnelli has checked into a rehab facility in Malibu for substance abuse.

The legendary singer and actress is said to be making progress in the treatment centre since she got in few days ago, confirms her rep.

The 69-year-old decided to get help with alcoholism being the main issue.

According to TMZ, her mother Judy Garland also battled addiction most of her life, and ultimately died in 1969 from drug overdose.

Liza turned down an offer worth half a million dollars to do a reality show named, 'Celebrity Rehab' in 2010.
