NDC man dismissed from Local Government Service for engaging in partisan politics

The Local Government Service has dismissed a staff in the Central Region for engaging in partisan politics.

Ike Afenyi Donkor was dismissed from the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem Municipal Assembly after his conduct was subjected to a Disciplinary Committee hearing.

Mr Donkor reportedly contested for the Communications Director position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Central Region.
He was however unsuccessful in his bid in the election held on September 1, 2018.

The Local Government Service, in up holding the recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee to dismiss the Mr Donkor, noted that his participation in partisan politics was in breach of the code of conduct of the Service.

He was served his dismissal letter on Tuesday January 8, 2019 by James Oppong-Mensah, the Acting Chief Director.
