"I'm single" singer finally opens up on split

Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj at the 2016 MTV VMAs

The crooner took to twitter today, January 5, 2017, talking about how she's focusing on her work.

Music star Nicki Minaj has just announced her split from rapper Meek Mill.

She tweeted, "To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year. Love u."

This comes after speculations about their split arose. The duo performed separately in Miami for New Year's Eve, and also partied separately afterward.

Nicki performed at E11even nightclub and then stayed to party. Meek performed at Dream Nightclub 2 miles from E11even and stayed there.

Nicki showed up at E11even at 11:30 PM, but Meek didn't show up at Dream until 2:40 AM.

Meek was also spotted partying in New York on December 30, 2016, with Nicki nowhere in sight. Then on January 1, 2017, Meek went to LIV nightclub in Miami and she wasn't there.

TMZ also reports they weren't together on Christmas Day as well.
