Star Wars Fans Just Discovered a Padme Easter Egg in The Rise of Skywalker
It seems like an easter egg was dropped in that dedicated fans might have missed when watching the movie in theatersbut they have the opportunity to notice it now. Since Disney made the decision to to homes, fans have the chance to pay closer attention to the little details, and someone seems to have discovered a reference to an iconic Star Wars couple.
In an article on , one Twitter user pointed out a reference in the film that potentially interlinks the latest trilogy to one of the past. It might be subtle to the naked ear, but it seems that in the critical scene where join forces to fight , the overlaying music composer John Williams used to exemplify their bond is the same as one for another pair in an earlier film. Which couple is the question? Rens grandparents, and Padme Amidala.
I found out why this music sounds familiar: reverse anidala. pic.twitter.com/FOiCEqcGYe Braddington (@bradwhipple)
Is there a particular reason why fans might have not picked up on it sooner? Yesthe score is inverted in the recent film, making it harder for someone to notice if they didnt know the scores of the other trilogies like the back of their hand.
Its not necessarily certain what the reason was that Williams decided to use the same music for both pairs in two separate films. Maybe it has to do with both couples coming from two different worlds? Maybe its a combination of a pairing of the light side and the dark side? No one knows exactly, but its interesting to see the theories people are inevitably going to come up with as they continue to watch the final movie in the franchise.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now out on digital platforms.
