Fans of arguably the greatest band in the world The Beatles will have a chance to learn in the hallowed premises of the Abbey Road Studios. The iconic studio announced that it is establishing an educational institute of its own.
"Synonymous with excellence in recorded music for more than 80 years, Abbey Road’s continued success is largely due to its staff and their knowledge. Now we will be able to share some of this expertise in a course which will provide first-class vocational training for people interested in forging a career in the music industry" said Luca Barassi, an audio engineer that will be in charge of Abbey Road Institute.
The institute will accept applications for a limited number of spaces as from September 2015.
Individuals aged 18 and above from anywhere in the world will have the chance to study for a 12-month advanced diploma in music production and sound engineering at the institute.
Students can use the studio’s recording spaces, control rooms and equipment.
Abbey Road Studios opened in 1931. The Beatles recorded almost all their songs and LPs at the studio located in North London.
