As part of their Make it Real series, the Hacksmith crew wanted to build a working lightsaberor at least as close as they could in this galaxy. Its been a long-running project: the first attempt ended with fire trucks arriving, while the tending to fall apart under 2500-degree heat. For the , they used massive batteries to heat a rod made of titanium and tungsten to a scorching 3000 degrees.
