Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Crack a ‘Chowder’ Cyst with a ‘Can Opener’

Chunky chowder, coming up! In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD forces some chunky contents out of a massive dilated pore of Winer. The contents, which looks something like New England clam chowder, is forced out with a can opener-like surgical tool.

The patient, who Dr. Lee says is in his 90s, came in to get the growth on his forehead checked out, fearing it was a type of skin cancer. Thankfully, it was just a large blackhead, also known as a dilated pore of Winer and easily removable.

In the clip, Dr. Lee forces the cysts contents out of an incision, pushing and dragging the contents out. Its a simple, yet satisfying removal.

Oh, this is like the best tool ever. Its like a can opener, she says in commentary added to the clip. But it is a huge comedone extractorit was perfect for this.

A dilated pore of Winer essentially a large blackhead, which is defined by a keratin plug in a single enlarged pore surrounded by normal skin. This means the large crater left behind by this extraction is actually a single pore that has been stretched from the compacted contents gathering inside. That's truly incredible.
