We woke to rantings from the actress/producer, Salma on her Instagram page today. The bane of it all boils down an article published by a tabloid which seemed to smear her character.

She wrote, “It is really a shame to educate young women of today that the only way they can live the life they dream about is to get a SPONSOR (a man to spend) … To me, it is an insult and disrespect to all women in Ghana. Oh at what point did I say Ghana is a shit hole? Stop acting lazy when it comes to haunting for contents for your site. We know you need us to survive but be sensible about it a little. Have a SENSIBLE DAY.”

Conferring to the tabloid website, it reported that the actress had tagged Ghana a shithole whilst sharing her experience from a sponsored trip abroad. This didn’t go down well with the actress who took particular notice to the sponsor and shithole reference and said a lot about the matter.
