Over the weekend, fans got a glimpse of the 32-year-old Anaconda hit maker as a teenager, acting out a scene with a classmate, in a clip from the UK's ITV show You Saw Them Here First

She's an internationally successful rapper, singer and songwriter.

But before achieving chart-topping stardom, Nicki Minaj was a humble aspiring actress at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art - where she majored in drama.

However, despite it being clear that she has always been quite a feisty young lady, it's easy to see her image has changed dramatically, and didn't always have her world-famous booty.

In the short video, Nicki is seen in a red T-shirt and jeans with her hair styled in cornrows as she fights with a fellow student during an intense scene.

She comes face-to-face with her co-star in a very aggressive manner and eventually hurls a phone at her frightened partner.

Luckily the heavy object didn't hit the girl but the rapper's drama teacher intervenes, saying 'You gotta be careful!' while checking Nicki's classmate.

Nicki, not realizing how forceful she had been, asked her fellow thespian: 'Did I hit you with the phone?' just to double check.

The narrator can be heard saying 'Soon, angry phone girl is ready to showcase her talents for New York agents and casting directors.'

Since becoming a famous singer and songwriter Nicki hasn't completely abandoned her dreams of acting and recently acted out some hilarious skits on Saturday Night Live.

The multi-talented lady also starred in The Other Woman alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann which hit theatres in April this year.

Meanwhile, Nicki is recently single but has been engaging in a public war of words with her ex Safaree Samuels.

The outspoken star took to Twitter last week saying: 'Anything you don’t appreciate will be taken. God sees your ungrateful evil soul. I gave and gave and gave. Threatening me? Blackmail? Jump,'
