Court Summons KOD Over KKD's Rape Case

Radio and TV personality, KOD has been summoned to give evidence in a rape case involving KKD and 19-year-old girl, Ewuraeffe.

The saga of KKD, Ghana’s king of fashion and ace broadcaster still continues, and the latest news gathered is that, radio presenter Kofi Okyere Darko aka KOD has been indicted in KKD’s rape case.

According to the prosecutor, KOD was said to be in the next room of the African Regent Hotel where the incident took place.

The state prosecutor stated that KOD then increased the volume of the television or radio set or the device in the room to drown the screams of the victim who desperately needed help.

The prosecutor said that in the course of the sexual intercourse, the victim was crying, prompting her friend who was in the room to attempt rescuing her; but she was prevented by KOD who told the girl that the victim was fine and that nothing was happening.

The Kaneshie District Magistrate Court in Accra committed KKD, for trial at the High Court after the prosecutor had established that there were enough grounds to secure conviction.

According to doctor’s report her hymen was torn, there was abrasion on both her labia majora and minora.

The prosecution also said after KKD had pushed her unto the sink and forcibly had sex with her, he assured her of giving her postinor-2 to prevent any pregnancy. He also gave her a tissue paper to wipe off the blood oozing from her private part.

She then sat on the water closet as blood kept oozing.
