Most families are serving watermelon pizza or fruit pizza as the side dish or dessert because it is a long list of health benefits and highly nutritious.

The basic ingredients for making watermelon pizza are watermelon, coconut, pineapple, lime, and yogurt.

However, depending on your preference,  you can add and subtract some ingredients to make it your signature dish.

Watermelon contains amounts of vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, fiber, protein, and a very large amount of potassium needed for the body.

The other ingredients such as coconut has numerous health benefits. It aids weight loss, boosts brain functionality and healthy skin among others.


1 slice watermelon


Few coriander or Thai basil leaves

1-2 tsp toasted coconut flakes

½ lime (juice and zest)

1 tbsp honey

Take 1 round slice watermelon and cut into wedges, as you would a pizza, and lay them on a board.

Scatter over 120g pineapple pieces, a few coriander or Thai basil leaves and 1-2 tsp toasted coconut flakes.

Mix the juice ½ lime with 1 tbsp honey and drizzle over the top. Sprinkle with freshly cracked black pepper and zest ½ lime.
