Akufo-Addo directs release of funds to police to fight crime
The directive by the President to the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, follows a national security meeting on Monday.

The funds Pulse.com.gh has gathered, will be used to purchase surveillance gadgets, vehicles for the police, bullet proof vests among others.
At the meeting, the president is said to have unnoticed swoop in crime prone areas as well as intensification of the "Operation Calm Life."
A recent spate of armed robberies in the capital and other parts of the country has left citizens agitated.
But the government has urged for calm and the police have also cautioned against fake robbery reports on social media.
