Maurice Ampaw alleged that Opambour wanted to engage in sexual activity with his ex-girlfriend and so he ‘detained’ her at his church for long hours.
Speaking to Kasapa FM in Accra, the controversial lawyer said, his ex-girlfriend was brainwashed by the prophet into believing that he [Maurice Ampaw] was suffering from HIV/AIDS.
He alleged that Opambour wanted to engage in sexual activity with his ex-girlfriend and so he ‘detained’ her at his church for long hours.
"Prophet One told my girl that the man (me) she’s going out with has HIV/AIDS and so if she’s not careful I’ll infect her with the deadly disease. My girlfriend believed what she had been told and subsequently was afraid to be with me, she kept on insisting that she’ll not allow me to sleep with her”
“I believe the Pastor said that because he wanted to sleep with my girlfriend. Whether they were 'together' or not I can’t tell. But me I don’t tell lies, I’ve mentioned names and you can check,” Maurice Ampaw disclosed.
This not the first time the legal practitioner is making controversial claims against some Ghanaian personalities and has publicly been criticized for his comments.
