Eric Bekoe signs for AFC Leopards

Former Kotoko striker signs for Kenyan Giants AFC Leopards on a 2 year deal

The Ghana Premier League’s topscorer for the 2007/2008 season tried to sign a deal with his former club Kumasi Asante Kotoko but the deal did not fall through after a misunderstanding between the player and Head  Coach Steve Pollack.

However, Bekoe seems to have gone past that and has signed for Leopards in the early hours of Thursday and joined the rest of the squad for training that same morning.

AFC Leopards finished 8 at the end of the 2017 Kenya Premier League. However, the team have qualified to represent Kenya in the 2018 edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.

That was by virtue of winning the 2017 FKF President’s Cup.

AFC Leopards will be sure to be signing a player with track record as he topped the goal scorers list with 10 goals in the 2008 Confederation Cup.

Bekoe has had stints with Berekum Chelsea and Egyptian side Petrojet.
