Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido tied the knot with his long-time partner, Chioma Rowland, in a lavish white wedding ceremony in Miami, United States, on Sunday. The event, tagged #Chivido2025, followed their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024 and a court wedding in March of the same year.
According to Davido’s former lawyer, Prince Ajudua, the three clergymen who officiated the ceremony were the same ministers who had joined the singer’s late mother and father in matrimony many years ago.

The extravagant celebration came after a grand traditional wedding in 2024 and attracted prominent personalities from Nigeria’s business, political, sports, and entertainment circles. Music stars including Adekunle Gold, Teni, and Zlatan Ibile were also in attendance, having joined the couple for their pre-wedding dinner.
Davido revealed that the wedding came with a staggering price tag.
He said;
We spent $3.7 million in cash. You should know what we are doing. It’s crazy

The groom’s father, billionaire Adedeji Adeleke, and the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, were among the dignitaries spotted at the celebration. Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, UFC champion Kamaru Usman, and Afrobeats star Zlatan Ibile also graced the event, joining an array of influential figures who came together to celebrate the couple’s big day.

The music star proposed to Chioma in 2019, but the relationship faced turbulence in 2021 following reports linking him to another woman. In October 2022, the couple suffered the loss of their first son, Ifeanyi, who drowned at their Lagos residence.
By March 2023, Davido confirmed they had legally married.
The pair welcomed a set of twins in the United States in October 2023 and held their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
