After a few years of wedding bliss the Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah separated from her hubby under contentious circumstances.

Rumours were swelling regarding the dissolution of the marriage between the two. Speculations begun to rise which alleged that Peter Agyemang was abusing his wife physically.

Despite how many times the media tried to get Jackie Appiah or Peter Agyemang to reveal what caused their divorce, their lips are sealed shut.

In 2012 the actress finalised her divorce from Peter Agyemang and gained custody of their handsome son Damien.

During the wedding reception of Jackie Appiah’s manager Samira Yakubu, Jackie Appiah created a scene when she saw a paparazzi tried to take a shot of her and her ex-husband together and fled the scene.

An attempt to snap a photo with her ex-husband fell flat. She even refused to join him in a group photo shoot.

The last time the exes were spotted together was at the wedding reception.

The business tycoon who stayed mute through it all revealed that he has no problem snapping a photo with her and people should ask Jackie why she refused to take a photograph with him.

Almost two years has passed and a credible source close to the actress has revealed why she didn’t want to be seen with Peter.

A source close to Jackie Appiah speaking on anonymity to Ghpage.com said that Jackie refused because she didn’t want to make any headlines about her and her ex-husband.

“She didn’t want people to do any story about them,” the source explained.

“You must understand that the divorce was stressful for her and she doesn’t want to relive it in the media. She refused because she is over with that chapter of her life,” he source iterated further.
