The official launch of one of Ghana’s fast-growing record labels, Rufftown/Midas Touch, happened Sunday, January 21, 2018, at the Premier Apartment in Accra without its main artiste Ebony Reigns.
The launch saw some industry players, producers, musicians and showbiz writers and critics in attendance.
At the launch, Bullet of Ruff N Smooth fame, who also happens to own the record label outdoored the labels latest signees. They include two new artistes; Ms Forson and Brella, and record producer Danny Beatz.
Even though the launch was successful, the label’s frontliner Ebony Reigns was missing in action.

The Afrobeats and Afro-Dancehall musician who was discovered by the label two years ago was not spotted throughout the event.
The label confirmed her presence in Ghana, however, the reason for her absence at the significant launch was not made known. But, there were rumours that Bullet and Ebony are having issues hence her absence.
Last year, Pulse.com.gh reported that there’s a confusion at Ebony’s camp and this seems to confirm it.
Rufftown/Midas Touch label and Ebony have been working for the past two years. She has chalked many career successes under the label. The label helped her record hits songs like “Kupe”, “Sponsor”, “Date Ur Fada”, “Poison” and her latest “Maame Hw3”.
