CrossFit's 2020 competitive season is about to heat up, and some of the sport's biggest names are hitting South Beach.

How to Watch CrossFit's Wodapalooza Competitions

The long road to the 2020 CrossFit Games later this year in August, which started in 2019 with the qualifying Open , continues with Wodapalooza , one of the biggest annual events on the CrossFit calendar. The Sanctional runs in Miami, Florida from Wednesday, February 20 to Sunday, February 23.

The event will feature some of the best CrossFit athletes in the world jockeying to qualify for the 2020 Games (winners of the Elite categories at Wodapalooza will earn their entry into the Games). Notable entries include Tia-Clair Toomey (the Sanctionals defending champion and reigning Fittest Woman on Earth) and Sara Sigmundsdttir (who finished third last year) on the women's side, and Patrick Vellner (the defending event champion) and Miami native Noah Ohlsen (who finished third at Wodapalooza last year and second in the 2019 Games) for the men.

The competition is also open to Teens, Masters, Adaptive, scaled and beginner athletes along with the Elites. Not only is Wodapalooza one of the biggest CrossFit competitions by size, it also offers one of the largest purses (that's right, cash money) in the sport, with this year's winner earning a potential $400,00.
