Hundreds of Ghanaians have gathered at the Kumasi Cultural Centre for a demonstration against the current power crisis that the country has grappled with for the past three years.

The demonstration, dubbed, [darkness has befallen us] is being spearheaded by the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG). According to the association, the current power cuts has affected their business since movie production is dependent on electricity.

Pulse.com.gh gathers that more than 500 people have joined the protest.

The demonstration which is expected to be attended by major stakeholders in the industry including actors, movie and stage directors, scriptwriters, distributors, producers, makeup artists, soundtrack singers, retailers, marketers and editors will end at 7pm at the Jubilee Park.
