Akufo-Addo mourns with the late Emmanuel Agyarko's family

The President had to cut short his trip to the Eastern Region of Ghana to go mourn with the late MP's family.

The President was accompanied by the Chairman of the NPP, Freddie Blay, Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyeremanten, Energy Minister John Peter Amewu, NPP National Organiser Sammy Awuku to mourn with the Agyarko family.

The former Chief Executive Officer of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) died yesterday in the United States of America after a protracted illness.

Speaking on behalf of the family of the former Food and Drugs Authority Boss, Deputy Information Minister Pius Hadzide welcomed the delegation and confirmed the death to the President and party members.

He was a pharmacist, medical doctor, and a politician born on December 10, 1957 at Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

He was married with seven children and was the junior brother of the former Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko.
