The entire lower part of his body has been amputated, Kumasi-based Nhyira FM reports.
He has since undergone successful preliminary surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
However, doctors said that he will need a lot of money to take care of medication and general care.
Head of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at KATH, Dr. Adabie Appiah, said between GhȻ500 and GhȻ700 is spent on the boy daily, and he currently needs a second surgery to cover his wounds.
Meanwhile, an international NGO, Provident Children Charity Foundation, has intervened and donated Gh¢4,000 cedis to take care of the boy’s medical bills and his education.
