Businessman accuses Dr Lawrence Tetteh of forceful land takeover

Amos Kofi Tabiri, a businessman from Achimota, has accused Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a renowned international evangelist, of forcefully trying to take his parcel of land located at Ofankor in Accra.

Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh.

Tabiri alleges that on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at around 2:00 pm, his worker, Yaw, was attacked by a group of armed men who were demolishing his ongoing building at the site. The men, numbering about 11, informed Tabiri that they were contracted by someone to pull down his building, which caused damages valued at GHC 50,000.00.

Tabiri further alleges that the armed men stated that the next land belongs to Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh, and when Tabiri confirmed that he knew of the preacher, the men threatened to destroy his property completely if he tried to stop them.

Tabiri's friend, Kwame, later contacted Tetteh's caretaker to inquire about the incident. The caretaker informed Kwame that he did not know anything about the incident but would contact Tetteh and get back to them. However, when Kwame called the caretaker the next day, he informed him that Tetteh had no knowledge of the incident and would come to the site himself to face Tabiri.

Fearing for his life, Tabiri rushed to the police headquarters to petition against Tetteh. While drafting his petition, he received a phone call from Insp. Prince Okoh of the Regional CID Accra, informing him that Tetteh had reported him for preventing him access to his parcel of land situated behind Tabiri's. Tabiri denies this allegation, stating that his property is fenced, and he has been operating his business there for over four years.

Tabiri is now petitioning for an investigation into the incident to bring all the perpetrators to face justice.

Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh has not yet responded to these allegations.

It is essential to note that these allegations are just that, and Tetteh has not been found guilty of any wrongdoing.
