Coronavirus: Pray in your homes - Chief Imam urges Muslims

Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shrabutu, the National Chief Imam of Ghana has urged all Muslims to adhere to the government's directive on the current coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

He said the decision was in line with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's ban on all social gatherings including funerals, festivals, all religious activities, conferences and all other events that call for a mass gathering of people.

The Chief Imam in a statement stated that the restriction of public gathering is in accordance with protocols enshrined in the Quran to preserve and ensure healthy lives.
