"Rigged election!” – Haruna Iddrisu says after Akufo Addo is declared winner

The minority leader of Ghana’s parliament Haruna Iddrisu has claimed that the December 7 2020 election has been rigged for the New Patriotic Party.

The Electoral Commission on Wednesday, December 9 declared the incumbent president as having been duly reelected after he polled 6730413 out of over thirteen million votes cast while his closest contender ex-president John Dramani Mahama polled 6214889.

But soon after the EC declared the result, the minority leader took to his Facebook page to wire “Rigged Election!”
