Albert Commey certain of league glory for Aduana Stars

The race for the Ghana Premier League title is on, and Albert Commey wants Aduana Stars to win it.

The race for the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title is wide open, but Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aduana Stars, Albert Commey insists it will be a failure should they not lift the crown.

According to him, the people of Dormaa will be disappointed not to have the glittering trophy in their cabinet in September.

"The title race is wide open and we want to achieve the ultimate which is to win the league. We can't go another season without the trophy.

"If we don't achieve the ultimate, it will be very disappointing because where we have gotten to we are leaving no stone unturned," Mr. Commey told Asempa FM.

With four games to end the season, Aduana Stars currently occupy the second position on the league log with 44 points, one point bereft of Wa All Stars.

The touching distance is not insurmountable, and Commey who is optimistic of gazumping All Stars and other close contenders to succeed AshGold, says they respect their rivals, but they can't afford to lose the crown to any club.

“We do respect our other contenders: Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Wa All Stars and the rest, but we can't afford to disappoint our supporters.

“We have some tricky games but we will make sure that at least when the going gets tough, the tough must get going.

“So we are not too worried, we will take each game at a time and I am sure we will achieve our target,” he said
