Sahin knows Mourinho's managerial style first-hand, having been lured to Real Madrid by the passionate Portuguese tactician in 2011.
The 28-year-old - back at Borussia Dortmund for a third spell - was part of Mourinho's 2011-12 LaLiga-winning squad at Madrid.
Reflecting on his time under Mourinho in the Spanish capital, Sahin highlighted his team-talks.
"He wins his games at half-time," Sahin told German publication Socrates.
"His speech - amazing! I still have them in my ears.
"Of course every player wants to win, but Mourinho embodies the victory. He does everything he can, he loves success and goes over dead bodies."
Sahin, who also praised ex-Dortmund coach and now-Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, added: "Of course, tactics are important, of course, training is important, but humanity has lost something in this business, so I like guys such as Mourinho and Klopp."
Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel was also a topic of discussion for Sahin, who said: "He is maybe the best coach in tactics I have ever had."
