The Ghanaian midfielder has extended his contract with the Spanish giants.

Thomas Partey has signed a new five year deal with Atletico Madrid that will keep him at the club until 2023.

The 24-year-old has been in the form of his life, having broken into the watertight midfield of Atletico Madrid.

He has bagged five goals in all competition games for the club that plays at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Thomas Partey joined the academy side of Atletico Madrid in 2011, but he went on a one year loan at at Real Mallorca and Almeria before making his Atleti debut against Espanyol in November 2015.

Partey was part of the Madrid out’s team that finished runner-up of the UEFA Champions League in 2015.

Atletico Madrid are currently lying 2nd on the league log.
