Just because the world is practicing the art of social distancing , that doesnt mean that people dont have the ability to do kind things. And thats exactly what Matthew McCounaghey did when the actor hosted a virtual bingo game with residents of a Texas nursing home over the weekend.

Seniors at the Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living Center were surprised when the Texas native, surrounded by his family, joined in on the game from the comfort of his home, having a grand old time playing host while excitedly calling out numbers.

We got Charles with the iPad up high! McCounaghey shouted at one point in the video. We got two winners! The seniors, clearly loving the surprise entertainment, can be seen grinning throughout the minute-long clip, which was later posted to the centers Facebook page.

When a winner was called, the prize was to ask the actor any question he or she wanted.

During a time when we are all working to make lemons out of lemonade, the facility captioned the video, we are so humbled that Matthew took the time to play our favorite game with us. As Matthew would say, lets turn this red light into a green light.

And to make this story better? It turns out that back in September, the seniors at the facility actually requested for McConaughey to make an appearance and join their bingo game, with one of the members joking that the Dallas Buyers Club star would be a whole lot cooler if [he] did.

(Clearly this particular senior was a big Dazed and Confused fan with that legendary Wooderson quip)

Even though McCounaghey couldnt physically join in on the game, he still made the time to put a smile on peoples faces as best as he could during this difficult time.
