This week, actors and actresses famous for playing doctors or nurses on TV came together to give thanks to those actual healthcare workers currently on the frontlines of the battle against the coronavirus.

Organized by (fans might remember her portrayal of Remy Thirteen Hadley on House M.D.), the collaborative four-minute video appeared on the actress Instagram on Tuesday (also World Health Day) as an effort to raise donations for essential resources on behalf of first responders everywhere.

"The closest thing I've ever come to being a doctor is putting on a costume, and while it is close," Wilde jokingly says in the clip, "it's not quite the same, but I just want to say thank you to all the real healthcare workers out there."

Celebrities including Patrick (Dr. McDreamy in ), Neil Patrick (Doogie Howser M.D.), and Scrubs' Donald Faison, Zach Braff, and Sarah Chalke all pitched in to help Wilde with her cause, in addition to those famous docs from shows like ER and Nurse Jackie. , who portrayed a doctor in the Academy Award-winning film Dallas Buyers Club, also appeared in the video.

In March, other popular medical shows including The Resident and New Amsterdam even from their costume and props departments to local hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Thankfully, this video seems, at least, a little more effective than that other video of celebrities coping amid the coronavirus.
