Victoria Hamah selected for Bergen Summer Research School in Norway
This is the latest in Ms. Hamah’s burgeoning educational journey since she became a Doctoral candidate at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).
In a post on Facebook, the ex-Minister said: “I am currently at the University of Bergen in Norway to participate in this year’s Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS).
“The Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) on Global Development Challenges is an educational initiative offering annual interdisciplinary doctoral courses on themes related to global challenges. Participants of about 153 PhD students from 45 different countries were selected based on academic merit and scientific quality.
“The BSRS is organised by the University of Bergen (UiB), in collaboration with the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI), the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) and NORCE Norwegian Research Centre AS.”
Three months ago, Ms Hamah was in the Czech Republic on an Erasmus Exchange Program under the joint supervision of Prof. Albert Ahenkan, a Professor at the Department of Public Administration at the University of Ghana Business School and Prof Dennis Nchor, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Business and Economics at the Mendel University in Brno in the Czech Republic.
As part of her PhD thesis, her research interests include gender equity in governance, public policy, participation and representation, Politics and Africa.
