Kwesi Arthur loses out 2018 BET to South Africa's Sjava

Kwesi Arthur has lost out on the “Viewers’ Choice: Best New International Act” award at the 18th edition of the Black Entertainment (BET) Awards.

The Ground Up record label musician who won the "Best Hip-hop Song of the Year" award at the 2018 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards lost to South African recording musician Sjava.

The "Grind Day" rapper earned his first BET nomination this year and also became the first male Ghanaian artiste to be nominated for the “Viewers’ Choice: Best New International Act” category.
