LMVC to join Movement for Joint Action demo on new voter register

The group has therefore urged all like-minded Ghanaians to join the Movement for Joint Action in Koforidua to demonstrate peacefully in order to make their concerns known to the Electoral Commission.

Pressure Group, The Let My Vote Count Alliance has confirmed its support and readiness to join Wednesday's much anticipated demonstration by the Movement for Joint Action (MJA) for a New Voters’ Register at Koforidua.A statement released by spokesperson of the LMVCA, Ibrahim Agyei said “Our decision to join the peaceful demonstration in Koforidua is borne out of our undisputed belief that a new voters’ register for the 2016 general elections is necessary for the survival of Ghana’s democracy and peace.”

According to the statement, “it is about the collective destiny of our country and the survival of our democracy. We believe that elections are a process and the process which includes a voters register, must be credible.”
