Comedian speaks on his craft, career, Nigeria on Al Jazeera series

The 'My Nigeria' series premiered yesterday and it started with top comedian BasketMouth.

On August 5, 2015 Pulse reported that Basketmouth will feature in a Nigeria themed series produced by Al Jazeera.

'My Nigeria' is a series of six half-hour documentaries tells the human story and the energy of Africa’s leading economy. Other Nigerian celebrities such as Kate Henshaw and Deola Sagoe, and also everyday Nigerians feature in the series.

“The series was commissioned specifically to support Al Jazeera English’s brand, ‘Hear The Human Story,’ to bring people’s stories directly to our screens, told in in a first-person style without mediation, offering a range of authentic views,” says Ingrid Falck, head of documentaries at Al Jazeera English.

The 'My Nigeria' series premiered yesterday (August 24), and it started with top comedian BasketMouth. In his feature he speaks about how he got into comedy, the state of the comedy industry, and Nigeria as well.
