Focus On The Crime, Not Politics - Ace Ankomah

According to reputable private legal practitioner, Ace Ankomah, the government feeble, quick and hasty attempts to push itself away from the cocaine saga could prove to be counter-productive.

According to the lawyer, who was speaking to Kojo Yankson on Joy FM's SMS, "rush and uncoordinated responses by government communicators and officials could create a leeway for the perpetrators of the crime to escape justice."

The lawyer was speaking on the arrest of a Ghanaian/Austrian by security officials at Heathrow Airport with an aleged amount of 12.5 kilos of cocaine.

Nayele Ametefeh, who is currently being held by the police, was initially linked to the governing political party, New Democratic Party, which casued the government's quick attempt to draw away from the story.

Since her arrest, discussion of drugs have popped back onto the front burner with politicians tagging each other.
