The Assemblies of God Church Ghana has taken a swipe at the media for publishing claims by the nephew of their murdered pastor that he was an occultist.

He said “it is immoral, wrong, painful and destructive to destroy somebody’s hard earned character, when the children, the wife, the family and the church are mourning”.
He made the comments on Monday when he, together with other pastors of the Church, paid a visit to the family of the deceased pastor.
Rev. Manso charged the media to "grow and desist from such character.”

“I could verify that the late pastor would never and had never consulted or engaged in occultism as he was born, bred and trained very well. David was never one of the false prophets, nor a charlatan.
“I can verify that David has never and would never consult any occult so when people are giving this news when we are sad, and when we have that pain when we are grieving, you are inflicting wound and insults," he said.
Rev. Dr. David Nabegmado was murdered by his nephew, Francis Nabegmado, when he was leaving his office to the main church auditorium to deliver a sermon last Sunday.
Francis justified his action by claiming that the Rev, Nabegmado is an occultist who has sacrificed some church members and other family members of supernatural powers.
