Ghanaian welder named in BBC list of 100 most influential women

The BBC 100 Women considers females aged between 15 and 94, who are spearheading change in their own ways.
The life stories of the 100 selected women will be used by the BBC to explore a variety of themes.

These include using anger to spark action and uncovering women from the shadows of history.
The women will also speak on issues and other things that they feel often hold females back from achieving greatness, a statement from the BBC said.

"Some will be telling us about what they will be putting in the Freedom Trash Can - our digital bin for all the items women feel hold them back.
"Others will bring us stories of achievement against the odds - from the British woman who used her jail time to create an inspiring business, to the Afghan girl who was almost swapped for a boy,” the statement added.
