"I had a call from one police officer who told me he needed money to undergo surgery because he was told that he will go blind if he doesn’t undergo the surgery by Tuesday. He told me had only GH¢3,000 and left with GH¢5,000 and I instructed him to go to the doctor and tell him I will pay the money by Monday and this morning I am going to pay the money," he noted.

Speaking on Net 2 TV, the outspoken MP alleged that criminals in the country are working hand in hand with senior police officers adding the junior officers are neglected.

"I don’t blame them but rather the senior ones because they have become careless and have taken the junior ones for granted. A police officer who has risen to Chief Inspector cannot even afford a surgery.

"The officer has undergone the surgery and has called to inform me but he is unable to come himself because of the surgery. It’s very sad," he said.
