Most people have expressed shock especially after the EC disqualified some aspiring presidential hopefuls over similar anomalies on their nomination forms months ahead of the elections.
Others have also expressed outrage arguing that the EC after charging GHC 20 for each journalist should not have made such mistakes that could disallow the journalists from reporting on the election day.
For example, Sanda Amadu was spelt Sandra Amadu, Sammi Wiafe was spelt Samini Wiafe, Sixtus Don was spelt Sixtus Dont.
Earlier Veteran journalist Kwami Sefa Kayi has sharply criticised various state institutions involved in Ghana’s upcoming elections for ‘not playing their part’ effectively.
Sefa Kayiwas hugely critical of the and described the EC’s decision to charge journalists an accreditation fee as ‘shameful’.
The accreditation cards were made in collaboration with the Ghana Journalists' Association.
