The first ‘Super clash’ between

The original date of the week 10 duel was 1 May, 2016 which is Sunday and it is a statutory holiday (workers day) in Ghana but the organizers says because the holiday falls on the weekend the following day will be given as holiday hence their decision.

“It is true that the first installment of the super clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko has been moved to May 2 which is Monday,” PLB spokes-person Tamimu Issah told Pulse.com.gh

“The original date for the game was May 1 and it is statutory holiday in Ghana which also falls on Sunday and because it is at the weekend the following day will be given as holiday and that informed our decision. “We want to get Monday football action in our calendar and we are using Hearts of Oak and Kotoko game as a case study, in the ongoing league we do play games on Fridays and Saturdays and with the new date the two clubs have been informed,” he added.
