Police arrest three after video of toddler being given alcohol goes viral in Kade
The Ghana Police Service has arrested three people after a disturbing video emerged on social media showing a two-year-old child being fed with an alcoholic beverage at Kade in the Eastern Region.

The suspects, identified as Tawiah Precious, also known as T’ Moni, 18; Emmanuel Dadzie, also known as Shapiro, 24; and 22-year-old Stephen Amoako, the father of the toddler, were picked up on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
In the press statement released on December 20, 2025, Officers from the Police Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team arrested the trio at Okumani, a suburb of Kade, following days of intelligence-led investigations.
According to the statement, the child has been rescued and handed over to officers of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) at Asamankese for protection while arrangements are being made to reunite the toddler with the biological mother.
The three suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to be put before court soon. Meanwhile, police say efforts are underway to arrest two other individuals believed to be accomplices — Afram Bright, alias Mogabe, and another suspect named Panyin who are currently on the run.
The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding children and ensuring perpetrators of such abusive acts are brought to justice.
The incident has sparked public outrage on social media, with many users calling for swift prosecution of the suspects and stronger enforcement measures to protect minors from abuse.
