Lawyer says he needs to be celebrated

Controversial lawyer. Maurice Ampaw has stated that, he needs to be celebrated to be celebrated as he believes he has contributed a lot to the development of the country.

He added that, people do not recognize those doing something right. Stressing that, they praise ‘sakawa’ boys but not those who have worked hard to achieve what they have.

“In life, if you are doing something right, no one gets to recognize and appreciate you. For example, a lot of people shower praises on ‘sakawa’ boys but not people who work hard all day to achieve something, not those who amidst their tight schedule intervene for others”, he said.

Lawyer Ampaw said this when speaking on Happy fm’s Showbiz Xtra show over the weekend, adding that he has over the years been the voice of the voiceless, and that Ghana should consider celebrating him. Maurice who also doubles up as a doctor, has for some time now been known to be the kind of person who jumps on every story in the media and he does not hold back anything when he is sharing his views which are always controversial.

He has been in the news for threatening to sue comedian A Plus, having asked the Police to arrest Wanluv for openly saying that he has onetime engaged in homosexualism and why he said that he slept with over 300 women.
