Singer clashes with music producer over “untalented” tag

Willi Roi making a statement on Pluzz FM said Diamond is not fit to be referred to as a musician as she lacks vocal ability and other things which qualify one to be a musician.

He asserted that Eazzy, formerly of Lynx Entertainment, falls within the same bracket with Diamond but the latter is worse.

“Eazzy to me has no talent, her vocals too is bad, she is always screaming in her songs and her songs lack content. I don’t know what she is doing in the industry. As for Diamond, she is worse. That girl is not a musician. She doesn’t have what it takes to do music. Vocals is bad, lyrics the same, delivery is nothing to write home about. I don’t know why she even calls herself a musician. And the sad part is that they are not even aware that they are not good” Willi Roi was quoted by Vibezin5.com to have said.

Moments after, Diamond Appiah responded through a post on her timeline asking Willi Roi to top charts if he is better musician.

“Dear Roi or whatever you call yourself. Since you have a great voice and can sing well enough for the heavens to descend, why aren’t you topping the charts in Ghana dear? Have you heard of worldwide chart topping sensations like Miley Cyrus and many more artists who top the charts with their zero talent, meaningless songs and bad voices? Being a musician is not about who can sing better than the late Whitney Houston or Mariah Carrey because the last time I checked, nobody sings better than Whitney in Ghana. So if you have a problem with Eazzy and I calling ourselves musicians because we do music, who cares? We are actually going to be here forever doing what we do best for the audience that enjoy our creativity. So all those that have a problem with our work can ………..” she noted.

Willi Roi, known for producing most of Nana Acheampong's songs, Daddy Lumba's and other highlife songs has hit back at Diamond saying, she was in pampers at the time he was topping charts around the world.

“That girl has the guts to still talk. When I was making hits and topping charts around the world she was busy wearing pampers. Even my girls in the club can sing better than her ten times” he said.
