Few days after releasing his gospel single, Hosanna, highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba has said that he was trained a gospel singer.

Speaking on Kasapa FM’s Aben Wo Ha, Lumba indicated that he has greater passion for gospel music than highlife but the latter came as part of his career.

He explained that their new song ‘Hosanna’ was to thank God for his countless grace upon him.

Lumba has teamed up with Gospel artiste, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong to record four gospel albums.

“I was trained as Gospel singer but highlife came as part of my career. The ‘Hosanna’ song was to thank God for what he had done for me in the past; that is why we chose to celebrate it on my special day. Though I have never celebrated my birthday, this one will be splendid,” Lumba said.
