My ex-wives married me out of fame, not love – Kwabena Kwabena

Popular highlife singer Kwabena Kwabena has claimed that his ex-wives married him not because of love, but due to his fame.

The award-winning artiste has been married twice but has seen both marriages end up on the rocks after just a few years.

According to him, he is now scared to start a new relationship, saying it’s difficult for a celebrity to find genuine love.

Speaking on the Starr Chat show with Bola Ray, Kwabena Kwabena suggested his two ex-wives may have married him due to his fame, and not necessarily because they loved him.

“For now, I’m scared. I’m scared [Bola],” the ‘Aso’ hitmaker stated.

“The reason why I’m scared is because it is so difficult for a celebrity to get genuine love. It is so difficult.”

He added: “It is unfortunate when people come to you out of the fact that you are Kwabena Kwabena.

“I can confidently say that both marriages were like that (without love)…due to the circumstances by which I met them. Both women are not women I went out there looking for.”

He further debunked assertions that the marriage of his manager Frema Adunyame collapsed because they were having an affair.

“Who on earth will leave marriage because of another human being? People just want to destroy people and defame people especially when marriages break and somebody is talking,” the singer said.

Kwabena Kwabena described such unfounded rumours as “ridiculous” and “unethical”, adding that he is not having an affair with his manager.
